By integrating with SAP Intelligent Metering for German Energy Utilities, Smart Switch[GO] delivers a mobile trigger for the field service to start the system-side termination of active profiles of smart meters.
Muenster (GER) — Sep 22, 2021— cronos Unternehmensberatung announced today that its Smart Switch[GO] solution is available on SAP® Store, the online marketplace for SAP and partner offerings, as part of SAP’s industry cloud portfolio. Smart Switch[GO] integrates with SAP Intelligent Metering for German Energy Utilities and delivers a mobile trigger for field service agents to start the system-side termination of the active profiles on the smart meter gateway (SMGw). This is necessary to obtain the last measured values from the intelligent metering system (or smart meter) before it can be physically changed. “Smart Switch represents the last missing puzzle piece for mapping the entire smart meter replacement process in SAP Intelligent Metering for German Energy Utilities. We are convinced that our solution will help more SAP industry cloud customers to optimize and fast-track their smart meter handling.” Holger Kleier, Senior Manager Business Development, cronos Unternehmensberatung GmbH.
Benefits of Smart Switch[GO] for customers include:
Real-time processing and monitoring
Real-time communication is essential for field service processes. Information about changes is processed and handled in real time.
Short-term changes are communicated synchronously to the field staff. It is possible to react flexibly to these changes without generating additional effort caused by route changes or shortage of employees.
No unnecessary processes
The process only starts when the customer is reached and work can be done. No unnecessary processes are started in order to ensure a target-oriented process flow.
